FUNDRAISER

FROM THIS POINT ON (mid-June, 2023), anyone who donates $100 or more to Fundraiser for Jesse Isaacs Near Death Experience is entitled to a copy of Skatepark Scrapbook, by Jean Isaacs aka Molly Piper. The story begins with fourteen-year-old Jesse and the letter he wrote to our local newspaper, respectfully asking for a place where skateboarders could practice and enjoy their sport, just as ball-players always have. This led to a year of efforts on the part of twenty-five or so kids to raise funds for one of the first small-town skate parks in the United States. Jesse produced and went around town sharing his own newspaper. This in turn generated many articles from real newspapers, and generous donations from individuals and businesses in Thurston and Pierce Counties. Within a year a beautiful new park was built, and King 5 news in Seattle came to film the kids "catching air." As one Barnes and Noble five-star reviewer said: "A Book filled with Skatepark Pics! This book rules, anyone who likes skate parks, whether in DE, CA, or IN, its all there."

Once you make your donation, I'll contact you and arrange to send you the book.  https://gofund.me/f275e163https://gofund.me/f275e163

ALTERNATIVELY, YOU MAY choose a copy of One Small Giggle (also available for a donation of $100 or more). This is a colorful picture book for all ages that playfully yet clearly makes sense of a tricky scientific concept. First published by JZK, Inc. in 2004, it has been favorably reviewed (and "highly recommended") by physicists Amit Goswami and Fred Alan Wolf because it actually demonstrates the principle of non-locality in quantum physics.

BEYOND BOOKS - for that person who wants to make a giant-size donation, please get in touch with me about commissioning a portrait of yourself or a loved one. I've been doing artwork forever and will come up with an heirloom-quality treasure for you. I'll share half the cost of your commission as a donation for Jesse.
Jesse, two years old
