Dreaming

I've been walking around in the rain and wind sizing up the garden, digging out weeds and going over seed lists. It never gets boring, does it? Copra onions, for one. You plant them in March and they ripen into the heartiest orbs that last and last for more than a year. I do love those onions! All the birds that will come, bees and insects, and flowers in amongst the veggies. The red poppy appeared last summer from when Jesse was a little boy - a single seed quietly waiting for twenty-five years, popping up again after all that time.

The best place to find God is in a garden. You can dig for him there.
